The inquisitive New Zealand Fur Seals (Kekeno) are guaranteed to make an appearance as you approach their home turf in our top of the line Hobie Cat pedal kayaks.
Paired with the stunning scenery of the Kaikoura peninsula, you’ll experience the heart of true New Zealand beauty as you interact with the seals in their natural habitat. Local albatross and blue-eyed penguin are known to make an appearance too!

Amazing experience
This was our second time with Seal Kayaks Kaikoura. Our daughters absolutely loved it, as did both of us. We were lucky enough to have a playful baby seal come right up to our kayaks, and saw lots of seals. When we went in winter, we also saw a pod of dolphins and a little blue penguin! Definitely an experience not to be missed :) Connor is a fantastic guide who really knows his stuff. Thanks Levi and team!

Fantastic!
Fantastic morning tour with Conna. Moved the time to slightly earlier due to some upcoming wind and we had perfect conditions. Saw seals in and out of the water, saw a Hector's dolphin and even a humpback whale all along the stunning backdrop of Kaikoura. Great guiding from Conna who was awesome and had so much information about kaikoura and its wildlife. Paddle kayaks were fun and really easy to use, would definitely come again!!

Amazing!!
The experience was incredible, our guide, Logan, was the best! He answered all our questions and taught us a lot about the marine life of the area. a unique and very fun experience! We would definitely do it again :)

Best Experience Ever!!
This experience is definitely a 10/10 for me. Pedal kayak made it so easy to move around the area while your hands are free to take photos! The activity is 3 hours long and I enjoyed every second of it. Our tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable of the area. And i guess it's just luck as we managed to see dusky dolphins on our way to the seals. I definitely recommend booking this activity when you visit Kaikoura. You will not even get your feet wet ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
