I would highly recommend this tour! This was our first time visiting Milford Sound, so we didn’t really know what to expect, but it was honestly an amazing experience from start to finish.
The bus journey is quite long, but Vaughan, our driver, made it so enjoyable. We stopped at some absolutely beautiful and incredible scenic spots along the way, and Vaughan was such a wealth of knowledge. His passion for Milford Sound really came through, and I learned so much that I definitely wouldn’t have learned if we had driven ourselves. He knew the roads like the back of his hand, and we felt completely comfortable with his driving.
The coach tour itself was fantastic, and Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking! The buffet lunch was actually much better than we expected, and we were lucky enough to see some fur seals. The boat driver was also very knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting information throughout the cruise.
It is a very long day, but honestly, it is SO worth it! If we had planned and saved for it properly, we would have loved to fly back by plane or helicopter to make the day a little shorter.
We absolutely loved the whole experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Milford Sound. It’s an unforgettable experience and 100% worth doing! ❤️
